Audio Video Media
Audio and video have become essential to how businesses communicate with internal staff and external customers. Using your original script, translated and voiced in additional languages, your message will reach new audiences at a fraction of the cost of the original. With decades of experience, Verbio supports your growing needs to make audio and video content available to multilingual audiences and accessible to those with visual or hearing limitations.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Solutions for Multimedia
As diverse cultures interact with growing frequency, companies should also adapt audio video assets in the languages spoken by their employees or consumers. OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration) estimates that language barriers contribute to 25% of workplace accidents. Hearing and visually impaired audiences merit special accommodations to access training or marketing videos. Imagine how much more efficiently and safely employees could work when they receive job training in the language they best understand. Just as interesting is how language access can increase your top-line revenue. Market research by Common Sense Advisory has repeatedly shown that a customer is 75% more likely to buy your products when information is presented in the customer’s primary language.

Video: Subtitling and Picture-In-Picture (PiP)
Subtitles and closed captions in multiple languages extend the reach of your video and eLearning content to a diverse audience. Verbio applies subtitles to videos, whether written in English or any other language. These are especially valuable for businesses seeking to engage with multinational staff or customers. Verbio also creates and embeds Picture-in-Picture (PiP) videos of Sign Language interpreters to serve the Deaf audience, who may struggle with written language. Subtitles, captions, and PiP are accessibility solutions allowing you to reach the hearing-impaired, those who speak languages other than the one in which the video was recorded, and people located in environments where they can’t easily hear the audio. Verbio’s experienced engineers and professional translators, and native-speaker actors come together with industry-leading technology to adapt subtitles, onscreen text and graphics, animations, music, and PiP to transform your evergreen video content into a multilingual and inclusive experience.
Audio: Voice Over and Dubbing
Voice over and audio recording are great ways to make your content available to audiences across multiple languages. Verbio is your partner for professional audio production in any language because the voices you use for your projects should elevate your production regardless of the language. Verbio writes a professional translation of your script specifically for voice-over, ensuring that a voice actor won’t run out of breath or stutter. Our large database of professional voice actors includes native speakers of your target language Verbio’s multilingual sound engineers record, edit, and master your new audio track in our own professional-grade recording studio. Our decades of experience with broadcast-quality audio means your foreign language productions will sound just as great as your English versions.
We work with everything from radio spots, marketing videos, training videos, to full documentary films. In 2018, we worked with OPB to provide Chinese voice over and dubbing for their Emmy Award-winning documentary, “Massacre at Hells Canyon”. Watch that video and listen to our voice recording in Mandarin.
Cultural Consulting and Language Direction
Verbio’s cultural consultants are usually bilingual and bicultural experts who interact directly with your creative, production, or editing teams. Integrating our specialists’ advice enhances the cultural authenticity and, therefore, the effectiveness of your audio video assets. Verbio’s native speakers provide language direction during video or audio production to ensure proper cadence, syntax, and pronunciation of scripts read in other languages. Having a Verbio language specialist work alongside your engineer streamlines decisions about where to cut the recordings. Learn more about Cultural consulting.
eLearning for Multilingual Audiences
eLearning courses have rapidly become popular in recent years. When a coach or trainer makes eLearning available in multiple languages, their diverse audience will apply the lesson better and report greater customer satisfaction. The trainer’s reward is a huge opportunity to multiply your revenue stream from selling courses to an expansive global audience. Verbio has the technical expertise to localize your courses for any language you need including audio and video elements, user interfaces, and valuable cultural adaptations. Audio Video Transcription
Transcription has become increasingly relevant as everything has pivoted toward multimedia communications: recordings of virtual meetings and telephone calls, video marketing, and interactive telephone systems. Verbio transcribes recordings made in English and most other languages. We also translate your script, if needed, ensuring phrases are easy to read aloud without stuttering or slurring. Transcription is useful for these purposes: search engine optimization (SEO), certified transcripts as legal evidence in court, accessibility for deaf and hearing-impaired audience members, creating subtitles, and creating voice-over recordings in new languages.
Transcription
Verbio transcribes audio files recorded in one language to create a written script in that same language. Examples include a marketing video that you wish to subtitle, written meeting minutes from a “Zoom session.” These scripts can then be translated, used as subtitles, and/or submitted as legal evidence in a court case.
Multilingual Translication
Verbio also offers an option called Translication: the transcriptionist listens to the recording in one language, translates in her head, and writes down the script in another language. That option can be useful for informal meeting minutes and marketing materials.
Subtitling
Verbio transforms a script into subtitles in any language to create a multilingual video that expands the reach for your marketing message or webinar.
