French translation (usually from English to French or French to English) is one of the most common requests we see at Verbio. We provide French translation of all types of documents, including marketing, technical, legal, employee handbooks, insurance, financial and personal documents and vital records for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and more. All of our French translators are professionally qualified, native speakers.

There are two main “flavors” of French. European French is spoken primarily in France but also in other parts of Europe and several Africa countries, as well as various islands. Canadian French is spoken in Canada. The differences between the French language in various parts of the world is very minimal in the written form with some exceptions in Canada with regards to capital letters and accents.

When translating text from English to French, you can expect the French text to expand by 15-20% more than the original English. When translating from French into English, the final translation will be about 15-20% less text than the original French.
